Kabuli Chana pulao recipe
this is authentic Pakistani Chana pulao recipe
INGREDIENTS:
• 500 gm Rice
• 300 gm Chickpeas (Boiled)
• 4 tbsp Cooking Oil
• 1 medium sized Onion
• 1/2 tsp White Cumin
• 1 tbsp Whole Hot Spices
• 3 Green Chillies
• 1 tbsp Ginger & Garlic paste
• 1 Tomato
• Salt (as needed)
• 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
• 1 tsp all spices Powder
• 1 tsp Coriander Powder
• 1 tbsp Ginger
• 1 tbsp Green Coriander crushed
• ½ tsp chilli flakes
• Mace nutmeg fennel seeds
how to make chana pulao
step : 1
Rinse chickpeas couple of time and soaked in water overnight.
2. Drain all the water. Rinse the chickpeas with fresh water. Then add the soaked chickpeas to a 3 liter pressure cooker. Also, add about ½ teaspoon of salt and 4 glasses of water. and cook 15 minutes.
3.Rinse 500g rice and soaked in water for 20 minutes.
4. in a deep pan heat oil and add sliced onion fry until golden fry now add some water for nice onion color.
5.now add ginger, garlic paste and fry until light brown on medium flame.
6. add red chili powder, salt, garam masala, coriander powder.
7. Now add tomato puree and cook well.
8. Now add 2 bowls of boiled chickpeas and stir well.
9. Now add all whole spices and green chilies.
10. Now add 3 glasses of water and 1 glass of chickpea water .
11. Add rice soaked in water and cook until water dried out on hi flame.
when water dried out put flame on low and source a tight fitting lid onto the pot to steam for 15 to 20 minutes.
