The chicken version of the popular kabab recipe that is said to have originated in Pakistan and Afghanistan, chicken chapli kabab is an easy-to-make and delicious pan-fried kabab that can be ready in a few minutes this is our very special recipe which i am going to share with you.

what is chapli kebab?

 chapli kebab is popular street food in pakistan and afghanistan, known or its unique shape and its irresistible flavour . traditionally made with minced meat (beef) and loaded with spices like cumin, coriander, garam masala,and red chilli . we have taken this classic recipe and given it a delicious twist by using chicken!
   


Chicken Chapli Kabab Recipe

ingredients for chicken chapli kebab:

Boneless chicken 500 grams
One large onion green chilies
Ginger garlic paste
Green coriander
Two eggs


Spices:

Salt 1 tsp or as required
A spoonful of crushed red chili flakes
garam masala powder one spoon
dry coriander powder 1 tbsp
A quarter of a tablespoon of ajwain seeds
Chaat masala 1 tbsp
Corn flour 4 tbsp


For Cooking  : 

Oil as required  


How to make chicken chapli kebab :

Step 1 : Prepare the mince

in a chopper add boneless chicken ,onion, green chilies , and mix well .

Step 2 : add spices

now transfer this minced chicken into a bowl and add salt, red chili flakes, coriander powder, garam masala, chaat masala, carom seeds, ginger, garlic paste, fresh coriander leaves, 

Step 3 : Bind The Mixture

To help the kebabs hold their shape add 2 egg yolks, 2 egg white fried into 2 tbsp oil 
and 4 tbsp corn flour. the cornflour will bind the kebab mixture well. Mix thoroughly until the mixture come together into a soft dough like consistency.

Step 4 : Shape The Kebabs 

Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into a round or any shape would you like patties, pressing them slightly to flatten . the traditional shape is round and flat like chapli . if you want a crisper texture, you can make them a bit thinner .

Step 5 : Fry The Kebabs

Heat oil in a wok for deep frying the chapli kebabs over medium heat. Gently place the kebab in the wok, making sure they aren't crowded . fry the kebabs 3-4 minutes each side  or until golden brown and crispy. the kebabs should be cooked completely and have a lovely golden brown colour on the outside.

 

Step 6 : Serve and Enjoy

once cooked, remove the kebabs from the wok and place them on a paper towel to drain any execcs oil. serve hot with naan and yogurt dip, and some fresh salad . 



Tips For Perfect Chapli Kebab :

Chicken fat: to make the kebab more juicy and tender, you can add little chicken fat or oil to the mixture
Make ahead: the kebab mixture can be prepared in advance and refrigerate for upto 2 hours before cooking.
Cooking Time: be careful not to overcook the kebabs. they should remain moist inside, with crispy golden exterior.
